Clown healing traditions

Clown in its ancient history also crosses in many ways with healing traditions....in the very old civilizations, golden age civilizations, there was a much deeper understanding of the unification of science, art, philosophy, religion, medicine, mathematics....they were not separate disciplines...a true edict was able to mesh the sacred arts, the sacred sciences into one working principle...so that space, architecture, atmosphere, rhythm, music, timing, emotion, emergence of emotion, spirit of being..all things were embedded in all aspects of the physical...and this unlocked the sense of one's metaphysical relationship with the greater universe. We are the substance of the universe....not just abstract thought machines. In our present day, we are not in this kind of conscious awareness, we are far more obsessed with material things, superficial gain and so on..."i do and so I expect a return on my investment," etc...this potlatching corrupts in many ways the elegance of our simplicity. And perhaps more than ever, we crave Clown. We "get" it deep down in our deeper sense of self...and it is marvelous to encounter, to connect, to be in the flow of our natural non-linear tendency....and of course, laughter is potent on so many levels. And it is also worth considering that there are many many different kinds of laughter. But laughter is not the only path to self discovery.

JJ thoughts driving a box on the side of the road. Wrapping self in toilet paper mummy

Jef Johnson Let's play. Get off your ass and put on a hat. Take off your shoes and walk in sugar. Dip your booty in Easter egg dye. Read a newspaper upside down. Make a cake and give it to a complete stranger. Sit in a huge box on the side of the road and see if you can get someone to stop and help you start your box. Dress like a shepherd and ask strangers if they have seen your sheep. Buy six boxes of nerds and eat them all. Then go to the mall and stick out your tongue and wave at people. Wrap yourself in toilet paper and stand inside the museum like a statue next to a sign that says "free mummy exhibit only $2.00" Stand in an intersection with a sign that says "I tell secrets for free dollars." Mix a box of hamburger helper with vanilla ice cream and take it to your next party. Go to work, stand on your chair and sing Happy Birthday even if it isn't anyone's birthday. Walk into a super market holding an egg under your chin, walk around and tell as many people as possible that you are in a contest to collect the most smiles. Live today like this is the jackpot. You got a chance to know life, and every second counts. Encourage others, make friends along the way...by sunset, see how many people you have become. Take pictures, post them on facebook. this is just the beginning....

Reflect back on all the wine

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what the hell happened to your bra and panties. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they Wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." ~Frank Sinatra WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter, faster and better looking than most people. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." ~ Henny Youngman WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may lead you to think people are laughing WITH you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "24 hours in a day, 24 beers in a case . Coincidence? I think not." ~ Stephen Wright WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may cause you to think you can sing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk and go to heaven!" ~ Brian O'Rourke WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may cause pregnancy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." ~ Benjamin Franklin WARNING: The consumption of alcohol is a major factor in dancing like a retard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza." ~ Dave Barry WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may cause you to tell your friends over and over again that you love them! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To some it's a six-pack, to me it's a Support Group. Salvation in a can! ~Dave Howell WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may make you think you can logically converse with members of the opposite sex without spitting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And saving the best for last, as explained by Cliff Clavin, of Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. Here's how it went: "Well ya see, Norm, it's like this. A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest! ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers." WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may make you think are whispering when you are not.

My dear friend, my friend above the highest price

Tatyana Kot My dear friend, my friend above the highest price, With you I leave my glamor on a hanger, And tell you every victory and failure, Attempts for happiness once, twice and thrice... Our bond has passed the formal “how-are-you” I offer you my heart-the cleanest part of me, But you aren’t pleased, you frown and look askew: You want the rest. Let’s set the chess and let whatever happens be… TK

It is not the mind that remembers, It is the stupid heart

Tatyana Kot It is not the mind that remembers, It is the stupid heart- Stupid organ with a very good memory For words, smells, songs and sites. I wish my heart developed dementia And let me live but the traitor has left Markings on the walls, like a prisoner who was locked up too long...
